THE GALAXY MOCKTAIL
Purple layer: Into a blender, add 1 1/2 oz blue curaçao, 1 1/2 oz grenadine, 2 oz lemonade, and top with party ice. Pulse until the ice looks like a slushie ice mixture. Set aside.
Blue layer: Into a blender add 1 1/2 oz Orange and Sweet Lime simple syrup, 1 1/2 oz blue curaçao, 2 oz lemonade, and top with party ice. Pulse until the ice resembles a slushie ice mixture. Set aside. Layer and serve!

I got Hannah to make a huge batch of Ms. Jacquie’s famous oatmeal cranberry cookies for me yesterday. My partner Brady is coming over tonight for a beer and I know he’s going to want some of these cookies. Luckily, I’m taller than most, so I hid the canister on top of the kitchen cabinets. He won’t see it and I can have them all to myself. Partner or not, he’s not getting any of these cookies.

GINGER BEET COCKTAIL
2 oz blanco tequila
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz grapefruit juice
½ oz ginger-beet agave syrup*
cilantro sprig (for garnish)
Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice, shake to chill. Rim double Old-Fashioned glass with smoked sea salt. Strain cocktail into glass over fresh ice.
*Ginger-Beet Agave Syrup: Blend ¾ cup sliced ginger, ¾ cup sliced beets, and 1½ cups agave until fully emulsified, then strain into sealable container. Syrup lasts about one week refrigerated.
